Make Life Comfortable

Your bedside table is a space that solely reflects you. It says more about you than any other piece of furniture in your bedroom. Let us help you declutter, and find practical items that will help you sleep soundly while waking rested and refreshed for the day.

Diffuser

Let your favorite scent put you to bed or wake you up. Diffusers are a great way to soak in the benefits of essential oil aromatherapy. Drop in some lavender or ylang ylang to put yourself into a dreamy state. Need help waking up? Eucalyptus, rosemary, and citrus oils are a great way to get your brain and body in check. Quick tip, if you don’t have time to diffuse, rub a few drops into your palms and breathe in the effects.

Sage

Known for its healing, and spiritual purification, sage smudging is an ancient ritual that has been around for years. Recent studies have shown evidence of medicinal smoke to purify the air of about 94% of harmful bacteria up to 24 hours. This should sway you enough to start smudging immediately, before you sleep or when you wake.

Palo Santo

Palo Santo, also known as Holy Wood, is a tree that grows on the coast of South America. This mystical wood is known for its healing and cleansing properties. This is a great item to keep bedside. Light it up and let it slowly burn. Watch your space become sacred and free of negative energy. Not to mention, this Holy Wood is known to calm the immune and nervous system. Let’s just say your sweetest dreams await you.

Air Plants

Air plants are a very in this season, stylists everywhere are recommending them to accent your interiors, so jump on the bandwagon! They are so easy to take care of. Don’t worry if you haven’t mastered your green thumb yet. Air plants require little maintenance and can be placed on any surface of choice. Hint, your nightstand.

Candles

Nothing sets the mood better than a flickering candle by your bedside. Whether you’re alone or with your partner, candles bring a sexy yet calming feel to any environment. The Time Collection from Yaasa Studios will make your dreams sweeter and your morning more enjoyable. Want to relax? Check out the eight-thirty candle with rich notes of wild jasmine and a hint of ylang ylang. Time to wake up? The six-twenty candle has you covered with energetic notes of pink grapefruit and tropical coconut.

Water

Typical eight-ounce glasses just don’t seem to get the job done anymore. Go big! Having a large glass of water (16-24 ounces) by your side as you sleep is a staple. This gives you a sense of peace knowing you don’t have to wake up mid-slumber and run to the kitchen to quench your thirst. Did you know that when you wake, your body is technically dehydrated? Yep, you heard it. If you think about it, you haven’t had much to drink during those 7-8 hours of sleep. A good rule of thumb is to finish off the rest of your water right when you wake.

Coasters

Say goodbye to water marks. Coasters are a great addition to your nightstand. You can keep it simple or get funky. They are small enough that you can play with colors, prints, and even shapes.

Books

The books you read can say a lot about your interests and life in general. These are great to keep nearby before you sleep or when you wake. Light reads help calm your body and mind. Or simply don’t read at all and stack a couple of coffee table books on there, as this accents any interior bedroom space perfectly.

Lotion

Moisturizing before bed is a must. Keep your favorite hand cream near your bedside. This way you can reapply without having to make a trip to the bathroom. Soft skin is always in.

Body Oil

Want to keep the heat going? Make sure you have your favorite body oil tucked away in your drawer. Easy reach is key. Who wants to get up out of bed and ruin the fun? Keep it at arm’s reach so play time doesn’t have to take a pause.

Your beside table is a reflection of who you are. If you’re feeling like you need to switch things up, try one, or try all of the above recommendations. Remember to keep it simple and don’t overdo it.
